Mrs Walsh

Hello and welcome to our class pages!

First of all, let me introduce myself. I am Mrs Walsh and I am extremely lucky to be teaching the wonderful Year Four and Five class!

Secondly, I hope you find these pages helpful. I hope to keep them fit to bursting with the exciting things we have been doing in class and up-to-date with all the fantastic things we have going on in school.

Year 4/5 Gallery

KS2 Cinema Trip πŸŽ₯🎬

On Thursday 7th November, all of KS2 travelled to Reel Cinema Burnley to see the movie 'Wonder Park' for the 'Into Film Festival'. It was enjoyed by all who attended!

The Graveyard Project

Year 4/5 had an amazing first day back after the holidays! We visited our Mother Penny at our church to participate in a fabulous project. The children had the chance to take photos, using semi-professional cameras, of what they thought were significant historical symbols. Everyone had an amazing time!

Autumn Two Newsletter

Homework must be handed in each Wednesday. It will be marked and returned with Dojos that have been awarded for super work and effort - all homework must be completed to a high standard.  Any questions, please encourage your child to ask one of us in class and we will sort out any issues for them.

I can't wait to see all the exciting pieces your child will produce this year!

Inventors and Explorers Day!

Magical Musicians! πŸŽΌπŸŽ΅β™¬

The children are really enjoying learning how to play the trombone. We have also began to learn the song 'Mamma Mia' and are hoping to perform this soon!

Spellings, Tables and Reading

Your child will be expected to read regularly and also learn and practise their times tables too. (Times Tables Rockstar is a great way to practise - please see the link below). Regular practise of their key spellings is important too.

Year Four and Five have the most amazing musical opportunity this year. We are going to be learning how to play the trombone! Children have the opportunity to take the instrument home but must pay a £25 deposit - please hand this in to the office if you would like to practise at home.

Instruments MUST be in every Tuesday ready for our lesson with Miss Lord.

Please keep checking in to find out the dates and times of our 'gigs' this year! ;)

PE will be on Mondays and Fridays but a kit must be kept in school everyday. Our kits need to be suited for indoor and outdoor PE so please ensure your child's PE kit includes trainers.
