Year 2 are working really hard using the Base 10 to play our Exchange Up Exchange Down game!
History Day
It's history week at school. Reception/Year 1 have become Victorians and have explored what shopping would have been like in the past. They weighed sweets, baked bread, sewed buttons onto T-shirts, did lots of role play and lots of reflecting.
Roman Day
Year 3 and 4 had a visit from the Heritage Team on Wednesday, who taught them all about Romans. They were able to handle Roman artefacts and were taught how to be Roman soldiers. I was told that the Romans could bash the Picts' feet with their shields because the Picts were barefoot.
Survival Stars
On Tuesday, Year 4s had a visit from Burnley FC Committee Survival Stars. They were finding out all about Survival skills and the the project will end with a free visit to Whitehough where they will put some of the skills into practice!
