Folktales
As we love performing in Year 3/4, we thought performing our favourite fairy tale/folktale would get our children excited for this topic.
Persuasive Letters
This begin our second half term, we looked at persuasive letters. We focused on the book 'Dear Greenpeace' to find persuasive vocabulary and the features of a letter.
Poetry
In Year 3/4, we love poetry! We used poems about Autumn and Bonfire Night to perform in front of the class. To make this easier, we created actions to help us retell our favourite poems.
Wild Way Home
Throughout the beginning of our first half term, we are focusing on the book 'Wild Way Home'. This focuses on a boy named Charlie finding his way home after being lost in the Stone-Age.
The children used this book to pick out the characters, settings, problems and resolution to create their own stories.
